A beautiful barbecue area in Leustetten near Elfengrund with a small soccer field and table tennis table.

Use must be registered with Ms. Meier-Wichmann (Tel.: +49 75 54 97 417).

The barbecue area is located directly next to the Leustetten hiking car park.

Since summer 2023, there have been various swings here in addition to the soccer field and table tennis table.

The wooden bowling alley was also built by the Adler brewery and restaurant as a summer attraction at the end of the 19th century. It was particularly popular with married men on Sundays as a women-free meeting place. Regular events were held here – always combined with a hearty game of bowling. Much the same as it was until the 1960s. At that time, bowling enthusiasts increasingly began to prefer modern, fully automated year-round lanes. This marked the beginning of the first chapter in the history of the Weildorf wooden bowling alley.

The second chapter begins in 2009. The municipality acquired the wooden bowling alley and the 2,000 square meter area surrounding it. In painstaking work, the alley, including the garden restaurant, was dismantled into its individual parts. Still usable structural elements were restored, while others were recreated. On June 3, 2011, the restored bowling alley, nestled in a charming village square, was inaugurated with a grand celebration. After a long hiatus, bowling balls thundered across the wooden planks once again. Since then, a group of friends has taken care of the maintenance and operation of the facility.

The bowling alley is open to visitors during the summer months.

It is in operation for various events, and catering is also available during these times.

Why keep looking for a parking space at Lake Constance, pushing hard together in the lido? Why pay admission?

Here at the Schlosssee in Salem-Mimmenhausen (access and parking from Mimmenhausen) the community has built an incredibly beautiful lido for young and old. With a water park for the little ones, islands and a giant pirate ship to climb and jump into.
Extensive sunbathing lawns with plenty of shade around half the lake offer plenty of space. You can throw yourself into the fray in the restaurant/playground area, but you can also quietly crawl further away.
Admission free!!!
Parking for many cars available.
Plenty of bicycle parking spaces available.
Various sports facilities available, see photos.
DLRG keeps bathing supervision with boat and several supervisors.

The buildings for the changing rooms and the restaurant/café were rebuilt in 2015/6 and are now top notch. The tenant is also new and really well organized.

A treat even without bathing suits:
A footbridge runs around the entire lake, which is great for walking (no bikes!) - unique!

P.S.: The locals, they go swimming here with their families, the crowds at Lake Constance are left to the tourists... (no offense meant, but reality)
