We hiked the simple but beautiful Stork Trail in Winden again today. A splendid display of flowers!

The life of "Master Stork" is quite amusing on the Stork Trail in Winden. Around 30 nests in Winden are occupied by storks every year.

From about February to August, storks can be observed foraging along the trail. I learned many interesting facts about my clattering friends during our evening stroll. 😀

Unfortunately the storks on the field were a bit too far away - even for the "good cam" and I …

Today I wanted to see the storks before they set off south. The stork hiking trail in Winden was only recently opened and is very nicely done with several information boards, benches, viewing platform, playground and water treading pool. A short and varied round with about 30 stork nests (if you can find them all 😉)
