Moesgård is an old manor. The original manor was burned down during the so-called Swedish Wars in the mid-16th century. Mouth of Giber Å in the Kattegat

Giber Å is 12 kilometers long and originates in Testrup Mose, south of Tranbjerg. The river flows through the town of Mårslet, past Vilhelmsborg Manor, and empties into the Kattegat just north of Fiskerhuset near Moesgård Strand.
