Collformic (1145m)

Highlight • Mountain Pass

El Collformic is a classic climb of Montseny with not too steep but constant ramps.

In summer it can be quite exposed, but as it is not too steep and has a bar that is open in summer, it is a good pass to do.

Easy route from the parking in Collformic. Wide paths all the way up. Watch out for mountain bikers on the hills. Snowy on the colder days in spring.

Matagalls (1697 m)

Highlight • Summit

el Matagalls is an iconic hiking mountain in Catalonia, visited for generations.
Its summit can be reached by several routes, all with their own charm. The easy access of del Coll Formic means that there is currently a considerable flood of visitors of all kinds who degrade the environment in a worrying way.
It was the starting point of the legendary resistance march "Matagalls - Montserrat" created in 1972 by the Gràcia Hiking Center but, due to the environmental impact around this peak, since 1998 the start has been made at Coll Formic to move from Brull to 2015.

Sant Miquel dels Barretons Chapel

Highlight • Religious Site

16th century chapel located right on the cliff, above the sanctuary of Sant Segimon, in one of the most visited places in Montseny.
Legend has it that its name is given by the fact that the pilgrims who came to the chapel left the hat as a votive offering. Other sources explain that it comes from small straw hats that were kept in the chapel and that cured headaches.
