Barcelos is located on the Caminho Portugues. The largest market in northern Portugal also takes place here every Thursday. Fruit, vegetables, crafts but also live animals such as chickens, geese or guinea pigs. Unfortunately, this is not particularly animal-friendly, so we avoid this part of the market.
