Old Pine Tree

Highlight • Natural Monument

Behind the 11th information board is a 300-year-old pine tree. Since pine trees are slow growing, it's not that big, but still very impressive. Pine trees older than 400 years have even been found in the area!

What a day😅!!!
My dearest husband pulled out all the stops on my birthday🙌🏼… It is the first time that I have celebrated my birthday with a bobble hat on my head in 7 degrees, but who cares when you are on the way to the highest mountain range in Scandinavia, Jotunheimen.

A really beautiful tour through the Huldenstigen nature reserve with a touch of adventure, for example when crossing the water arm over a few stones and through the swampy moorland over laid out boards, some of which had long since sunk into the swamp. But why were we wearing hiking boots!

Current moreover 900m above sea level. NN. Over the Sjoa Bridge, into the nature experience with lots of evening reading

A pleasant walk through the woods, past lakes, a waterfall, and termite mounds. The route is marked with informational signs.

Padover tree roots, rocks, and bridges.

This circular hiking trail runs over rivers, along streams and lakes, through pine and birch forests. Scandinavian, straight out of the textbook. Only reindeer or even moose did not show up.
The path is natural. Stones and roots, everything is easily doable. Little activity in June during the week.
All in all a nice hike.

Beautiful nature trail with several information boards describing the forest, its previous use, plants and animals. We had to stop constantly because there was always something to look at... but only for a short time... The mosquitoes quickly noticed that food was on the way, so we had countless buzzing companions. The really muddy parts of the trail were made …

Before crossing Jotunheimen NP, this insider tip was on our route.
On 16 information boards you can find out a lot of interesting facts about cultural history and nature over a distance of almost 6 km in NO/EN/DE. We walk mainly on root-rich, stony forest paths without very big differences in altitude and pass countless anthills and run away from …

A very nice tour for young and old. Lovingly created with useful information in Norwegian, English and German. Great landscape. It is also one of the rare tours in Norway that does not immediately show hikers who are in good physical condition their limits. 😜
