From the small bank on the bank you have a picturesque view of the mill pond and the spooky tower Dammsmühle. Especially in winter, the bare trees create a unique atmosphere.

January 18, 2026,Mühlenbecker See – Schloss Dammsmühle Runde von Summt
A beautiful winter day, perfect for this great hike. It was a bit icy in some places, but we made it without any accidents. 😊

About 30 years ago, we attended a family celebration at Dammsmühle Castle. Then it was closed and over the years fell into disrepair, becoming a sad ruin. After several changes of ownership, renovations and construction have been underway there for many years. We stop by every now and then.

Braved the weather today and out, what can I say? Not a drop of rain caught me. And there were only a few people on this popular path. A very nice round. Varied and easy to walk on. Forest, wet meadows, fields, smaller and larger ponds. In the forest, almost every hollow is filled with water, in which plenty of …

On the way back from a birthday brunch, we decided to do a lap near the autobahn. In the parking lot in Summt, a "real Thuringian" wanted to seduce us, but we were still sufficiently full! Although the weather was underwhelming, we encountered plenty of Sunday strollers, walkers and hikers. Also interesting is the "bigger" child in the buggy, which …

The day started rainy, but the sun 🌞 wasn't long in coming. In the course of the morning it became more and more beautiful.

We wanted to go to the Mühlenteich 🌊 and see the Mühlenbecker See. It started at the bus stop of bus line 🚌 806 at the "Seering" stop in Summt. The almost two hours driving time …
