The newly erected shrine is part of the pilgrimage pathway that leads from the Loretto Chapels (813m) over the Holzgauer Platz (824m), the chapel Maria am Knie (1377m) to the Mädelejoch. The path continues on the Roßgumpenalp to Holzgau in the Tyrolean Lech Valley.
