The Glendalough Valley mine dates back to 1790. At the height of production, around 2,000 miners were busy extracting lead, zinc and silver here. 1957 came to an end.

Here you can see the ruins of ancient mines. If you follow the way up, or come from there, you will find another sign at the stream.

The path leads through the old mining settlement and therefore does not require a detour - however, there is not much left of the stone houses. Nevertheless, from here you have a nice view back to Upper Lake and (of course!) What is to come ...
