Perry’s Cottage is a limestone ruin dating to around 1850, part of the early farm known as Perry’s Paddock. The paddock is named after John (Jack) Perry, who bred racehorses here and held picnic race days on the open grounds in the 1920s. Only sections of the cottage and nearby stables remain today, though olive trees thought to date from the 1840s still grow alongside them. While you’re here, you can scan the QR code on the nearby sign to see race day as it once looked through augmented reality.
