What an experience! From Tux in the Zillertal, we first went to the valley station of the Hintertux Glacier lifts. Our destination was high up in the eternal ice: the Nature Ice Palace at an altitude of 3,250 meters. 😎
You get there via three consecutive glacier lifts. With each ride, you gain considerable altitude, the landscape becomes increasingly rocky and icy, and at some point, you find yourself in the middle of the fascinating high mountain world of the Zillertal Alps.
