🌊 Round trip around Cape Arkona – Steep coast, towers & Baltic Sea views
A beautiful circular hike from the parking lot in Putgarten, which leads us along the impressive steep coast around Cape Arkona. Along the way, great views of the Baltic Sea and ever-new perspectives of Rügen's rugged north coast await us.
A special highlight is the small fishing village of Vitt with its thatched-roof houses and pretty octagonal chapel. From there, the path continues along the high coast towards Gellort, the northernmost point of Rügen. Here lies the Siebenschneiderstein, one of the island's largest erratic boulders.
