History and significance: The cemetery was established in the 19th century and is the resting place of individuals who contributed to the development of Szczawnica as a spa town. Among those buried here are members of the Szalay family – led by Józef Szalay (the creator of the Szczawnica spa), as well as distinguished spa doctors, local activists, Pieniny rafters, and residents of the region.
Monuments: Within the cemetery grounds, there is a historic cemetery chapel and numerous historical tombstones of artistic and cultural value.
