Sheltered from the open river, Montagu Bay is one of the quieter corners of the Clarence Foreshore Trail. The broad estuary attracts pelicans, cormorants and other waterbirds, while ever-changing views across the Derwent towards Hobart make it a rewarding place to pause before continuing along the waterfront.
