The station was opened in 2019 and trains arrived at the Great Wall direct from Beijing in 20 minutes. The station itself is a bit of an engineering wonder, to in arrive deep underground and arrive at ground level by escalator, or funicular (or by climbing a lot of stairs if you’re feeling fit!)
