Plate is a municipality in the Ludwigslust-Parchim district in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania (Germany). It is administered by the Crivitz office, based in Crivitz, and is one of the largest rural municipalities in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania.
Plate is located 7.5 kilometers southeast of Schwerin and eight kilometers southwest of Crivitz in the Lewitz nature reserve. North of the Peckatel district is the source of the Bietnitz. The highest point in the municipality is an elevation in the northwest with 67.5 m above sea level (NHN). East of Banzkow, there is a small 2.3-kilometer-long and 400-meter-wide exclave of the municipality.
