At roughly 1,340 metres, the summit of Heather Mountain opens onto sweeping views across Cowichan Lake, forested Vancouver Island ridges and the surrounding Cowichan Valley. Exposed rock bluffs create a wide natural viewpoint, and on especially clear days you can see deep into the island interior and toward distant mountain ranges beyond.
