Štôlňa Glanzenberg is a historic mining adit dug in the 17th century under the center of Banská Štiavnica. The route leads through about 500 meters of old corridors where mainly silver and precious metal ores were extracted.
During the tour, you can see original workings, traces of old mining tools, and places where miners carved rock by hand by the light of oil lamps. The adit was opened to tourists in 2014 after safety work and today it is one of the few underground routes running directly under the historic city center, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
