The Reußenstein ruin is the ruin of a rock castle above Neidlingen, exactly on the border between the district of Esslingen and the district of Göppingen (town of Wiesensteig) in Baden-Württemberg. Today, the Reußenstein is a popular destination for climbers and hikers and is among the most visited castles in the Swabian Jura.[1] The Baden-Württemberg Monument Foundation (Denkmalstiftung Baden-Württemberg) declared the Reußenstein ruin Monument of the Month for December 2012.

The Reußenstein castle ruins spectacularly perch on a rock above the Neidlinger Tal valley, offering an impressive view over the Swabian Jura. The medieval castle was probably built in the 13th century and is today one of the region's best-known castle ruins. A worthwhile destination for hikers and cyclists with a great mix of history, nature, and views.
