Three mountains in the North German lowlands? Okay, up on the coast there's the dike, but mountains? Well, each of these mountains is artificially piled up and already a few hundred years old. They are the remains of the castle “Elmendorf”. About 1000 years ago, castles in the lowlands were often built on small, artificial hills, so-called “motte”.

I could have also written "peaks". The 3 mountains are classified by komoot as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd castle hill and help the local flatlanders with "komoot peak collecting"!😁
