Monument commemorating the siege of Freiberg by Swedish troops, in Albertpark, designed by Prof. Eduard Heuchler, erected in 1844 as the "Monument of Civic Loyalty." The three statues represent a citizen as a defender, an electoral soldier with lance and sword, and a miner with the axe as a weapon. Approx. 50m from the Schwedendenkmal (Swedish Monument) are the remains of the former city wall tower.
