The Röderschlösschen (Röder Castle) was built around 1750 by Baron von Röder, who only used it for a year. In 1850, it came into the possession of the Duke of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, who used it as his headquarters.
The building was later used as an administrative building and prison until 1920.
Today, it houses the municipal office, the local history museum, the library, and a meeting room.
