The rest area and parking lot "Auf dem Hasel" is located at the highest point of the old road between Kirchhausen and Sallneck. It serves as a starting point for hikes, but also offers good resting opportunities and, just a few steps further on, a fantastic view over Kirchhausen all the way to Basel and the Jura Mountains.
The old asphalt surface is not well suited for racing bikes, as it is quite potholed and root-covered.
