From the Lietschen-Hütte it is a very beautiful way high above the worthy peaks Geisberg and Schallenberg to the milk cottage!
The field name Litschenhäuschen gave the hut its name. Formerly called the parcel "Lützenhohscheid:" Lützen "- small," -hoh- "for Hochwald," -scheid "for forest or border. (Source: ittenbach.heimatmuseum-virtuell.de/historie/zeige_objekt.php ? selection = 4210)

The Lietschenhütte was renovated in March 2016 as part of a German-French apprentice exchange by the Bonn Rhein-Sieg carpentry guild. It is located on the left side of the Mirbesbach valley on the Drachenfelsstraße (hiking trail - no road), which leads from the Margarethenhöhe to the Drachenfels above Königswinter.
