Minta guesthouse had very nice rooms. The girl who gave me the key helped me find a place (the shop nextdoor) where I could exchange my remaining kip for baht, since the bank wouldn't do it. The shop only opened at nine, so if you want to exchange money and cross the border as soon as it opens (at 8 AM), you'll have to do it the day before.
