Hiking

A beautiful Baroque church dating from around 1650. The ceiling is entirely white and richly decorated with ornate stucco. The altars, however, are black. There is a side chapel dedicated to Saint Sebastian. To enter the church through the main entrance, one must climb a steep staircase. However, one can also easily enter the church from the other side, after passing through the Arch of St. Paul.

During the Christmas season, a beautiful nativity scene can be admired at the front right.

The parish church was built in 1050 and rebuilt after the city fire of 1662. The baroque decor dates back to around 1700, and in the interior the black, gilded altars and the equally colored pulpit stand out against the bright walls.

The parish church is the oldest parish church of Passau. The first church was already around 1050 the St.. Consecrated to Paul. After the destruction in fires in 1512 and 1662 the present construction.
