When you're out and about on the Baltic Sea coast, the Bastorf lighthouse (also known as „Buk“) is an absolute must. Although it's one of the smallest lighthouses in Germany, don't be fooled – its location makes it one of the most spectacular viewpoints in the region. Since the tower stands on the Bastorfer Berg, its light is a proud 95 meters above sea level. From the viewing platform, you have a panoramic view of the Mecklenburg Bay, which in good weather extends all the way to Fehmarn or even the Danish island of Lolland.
