Lough Nacorra, the Lake of the Crag, is nestled beneath Ireland's Holy Mountain, Croagh Patrick. It's a lovely spot for a break while hiking the Western Way long-distance trail. It's also known as the 'Lake of the Serpent', as it's said that some of St Patrick's banished snakes ended up in its depths.
