Once, this artificially created reservoir was an extremely popular bathing paradise. People traveled from afar to swim in "Kronsegg". Romantic solstice celebrations and even "hot" motorsport events on the ice are now only remembered by a few. After the last dam renovation, the basin could be refilled at the beginning of 2002. Due to the flood in August 2002, the dam had to pass its first test.
