Rising to an apex of 439 meters (1,440 ft) to the northwest of Jørpeland, Kjortåsen is a superb objective for a short summit hike. The views from the summit are extensive on a clear day. The top is home to a telecommunications tower, which makes Kjortåsen easily recognizable from afar.
