The fountain from the mid-17th century is probably the work of the sculptor and graphic artist Juraj Lippay the Younger, the nephew of the Archbishop of Esztergom.
The baroque sandstone sculpture of Saint George on horseback, fighting a three-headed dragon, stands on a pedestal in a round reservoir. The dragon heads are decorated as waterspouts. Originally, the sculpture of Saint George was located in the luxurious Renaissance gardens of the Archbishop's summer palace, which was built in the mid-17th century by the Esztergom Archbishop Juraj Lippay (today the seat of the Government of the Slovak Republic).
