Moszczanica – a border village.
During the partitions, Moszczanica found itself in the newly established Austrian province, namely the Kingdom of Galicia and Lodomeria, commonly known as Galicia. At the beginning of 1867, it became part of Cieszanów County.
During the period of belonging to the Austrian Empire (later Austria-Hungary), the town bordered on the Russian partition from the north, specifically on the Biłgoraj County in the Lublin Governorate.
