Between autumn 2000 and spring 2001, the park was extensively renovated and redesigned.
On the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the air raid on Reichenbach, a memorial stone was dedicated on March 21, 2005, for the 161 victims of the air raid of March 21, 1945. Every year on March 21, a public memorial event with a wreath-laying ceremony takes place here.
