In 1494, a pharmacy was first mentioned in Tangermünde. Its owner, a certain Ghert, had set up shop in a house in the Schloßfreiheit on the corner of Hünerdorf. He was granted the privilege by the sovereign in 1494. This made the Tangermünde pharmacy the oldest in the Altmark. The court pharmacy was located there until the great fire in 1617. When it closed, Gideon Nuober founded the first municipal pharmacy in Lange Straße, where it was located until November 2016 under the name Adler-Apotheke.

With the establishment of medical practices in a new building on Kirschallee in Tangermünde, the relocation of the pharmacy to a newly constructed building adjacent to the medical practices was a logical and sensible consequence.
On November 15, 2016, the Adler-Apotheke moved to Kirschallee 41 – into a modern pharmacy with spacious, bright rooms, state-of-the-art equipment, accessibility, and optimal parking facilities.
