The Chapel of the Protective Cloak was built in 1710 on the road to Leobersdorf. It was commissioned by Count Karl Josef von Lamberg und Sprinzenstein. The chapel's name derives from the altarpiece, which depicts the Virgin Mary, under whose flowing cloak the count's family seeks refuge. The Chapel of the Protective Cloak was renovated in 1997 and rededicated on April 30, 1997.

It is part of the Kottingbrunn Cultural Trail – Trail No. 6.
