The lighthouse is a miniature replica, about 14 meters high, of the famous North Sea lighthouse "Roter Sand".
Active inland fire: It is one of the few lighthouses in the German inland that have an actively operated orientation light.
Construction: The landmark was built in 1986 by the local boatmen's association "Gute Fahrt" through their own efforts and was extensively renovated in 2014.
