You take the cable car up to Kök Töbe to enjoy the view. The city lies spread out before you, glittering in the sun, and to the left, the white peaks of the Tien Shan rise beautifully into the sky.
Otherwise, people stroll through the amusement park below the TV tower. An apple sculpture (of course: Alma Ata = Father of the Apple) and a Beatles monument (I didn't find out why it's there) invite you to take selfies.
