The Fuente del Barranco, also known as Fuente del Zacatín, is a historic fountain located in Colmenar de Oreja. It is located south of the Plaza Mayor, on the slope of the ravine that once separated the town centre from its suburbs. Built in 1779 and restored at the end of the 20th century, this fountain is part of the Zacatín gardens.
The water from the fountain arrives through a robust stone gallery and pours out through a single spout into a wide box covered by a framework of slabs supported by Romanesque arches.⛲

In the gardens located at the exit of the Zacatín Bridge there is this splendid fountain of monumental size. The water flows out of a brackish water spout in a basin covered by several stone arches and pours into a system of successive ponds for watering livestock, washing and various domestic uses.
