Every year, plant lovers flock to Hohenstadt in the so-called Christmas rose forest to take a few pictures of the first flowering plants in nature and also to enjoy the blossoms. In the spring sun, at the end of winter, the colorful carpet of flowers is very impressive. Christmas roses in themselves are protected species. In Hohenstadt, however, it is presumably garden refugees who spread very widely. The Christmas roses bloom from January to April, depending on the weather. The spring roses bloom from around February to the end of April.
