Cycling
The Briest chapel was built in half-timbered construction in 1599. It is the only church in the Stendal district that was founded after the Reformation. The donors were Pantaleon von Bismarck, Hypolita von Bismarck and her husband Christoph von Alvensleben. The chapel was used by the von Bismarck family until 1945, after which there were only a few services and the building fell into disrepair. The interior of the chapel was completely destroyed in 1979. Repair work began in the 1980s and restoration took place in 1993.
