While cycling through the picturesque Betuwe region, make sure to stop by Molen De Marsch, a traditional Dutch windmill situated along the Marsdijk in Lienden. Built in 1885, this grondzeiler (a windmill without a stage) was originally used for polder drainage, showcasing the ingenious water management techniques of the Netherlands.
The mill's sails reach almost to the ground, allowing visitors to appreciate its architecture up close. Surrounded by lush orchards and tranquil landscapes, it's a perfect spot to pause, take photos, and enjoy the serene environment.
