The junction network system (often referred to as "cycling by numbers") is a revolutionary simple type of cycle path signage that originally comes from the Netherlands and Belgium. In the district of Gifhorn, this system has been introduced across the board and officially inaugurated in spring 2024. Below the node number are arrows that show you which direction you need to go to get to the next node. Almost every location has an overview map of the surrounding area, showing all neighboring nodes.
