As early as 1905, a footbridge was laid out with the expansion of the Siemens works settlement. In 1912-13, a new bridge with 2 lanes and 2 pedestrian walkways was expanded next to it. After both parts of the bridge were blown up at the end of World War II, the new bridge was handed over in 1954. de.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rohrdammbr%C3%BCcke

The bridge is still the only way to get across the water near Spandau. A new bridge is due to be built near Haselhorst soon.
