Inaugurated in 1950, this sanctuary dedicated to the archangel Michael was built on the top of Mount Cercasole, one of the peaks of Faito, in place of the now ruined chapel of St. Michael, historically located since the 6th century on Mount Molare, i.e. on Mount San Michele, 1444 meters.
