Mountain biking
A considerably more technical MTB section than it might appear on the map, crossing the wet and rocky terrain of the interior of Skye with views towards Loch Harport. Here the problem is not just the gradient: after rain, the combination of peat, wet rock and small streams can turn some sections into veritable ice rinks. In dry conditions it is much more rewarding; when wet, it is advisable to slow down and choose your line carefully. The open views towards the loch make the effort worthwhile.
