Hiking

The Buskett Gardens are not really gardens, as the English word 'gardens' suggests. It is in fact a small forest. There a large variety of trees, such as spruce, pine, cypress, mimosa, ash, oak and olive trees. Furthermore, there are various types of fruit trees, shrubs and there is a vineyard. The forest was created by the Johannites. They used it to hunt.

Road cycling

Rare piece of woodland in Malta. There's also an impressive castle nearby. If you're coming at this on bike from Rabat, you'll have a fun long descent, just take care on the initial hairpin turn as you enter and have your hands on the brakes as you'll need to be mindful of dog-walkers.
