The plastered five-storey "Great Powder Tower" is a round tower with a conical roof that dates back to the 15th century, but was raised and expanded in the 16th century. The adjacent area was and still is undeveloped, which is why the tower also served as a powder magazine. The top floor is pierced by nine large, arched shooting openings.
