Hiking

The work is located on the Paseo de Uribitarte, on the other bank of the river opposite the Town Hall, and was created in 1981 by the Asturian sculptor Vicente Vázquez Canónico. The sculpture was one of his first public works and was created to commemorate the Day of the Sea. The location is not coincidental, it was created at the place where the small tourist boats return to the Abra.
