What is noticeable about the pottery kiln is that the old, excavated original remains are (unfortunately) clearly in the minority, namely only a few remains of the kiln walls. Most of the "trimmings" such as the clay pots, shards and layers of soil have been reconstructed without taking care to give these elements an old-looking paint. The complex also includes a fountain (which is just as untrue to the original) and a Roman cottage garden surrounded by willow branches. The whole small area forms a small, free-of-charge open-air museum.
