In the community of Breitbrunn there is a disused sandstone quarry, the Kellerbruch. This is ideal for highlighting the importance of sandstone, making it tangible and holding events. Funded by LEADER, a concept was developed that shows how the cellar quarry can be made accessible to the public and how information about sandstone mining can be provided. The concept is also partly implemented with LEADER funds.

The plans for the “sandstone world” have been shattered – like the head of “President Snow”, which was once made here from white sandstone for advertising purposes.
No money, no support from the population: the Breitbrunner local council unanimously puts the “Fränkischer Sandstein Adventure World” on the record. This means that lengthy planning is no longer necessary.
